Although it’s quite common for advanced amateurs or professional photographers to use hi-end, state-of-the-art cameras for their work, sometimes a consumer point and shoot is all you need. The one below, and similar ones from a beach in Florida in my website’s “everything else” section, was shot with a Canon S100. The vantage point was from a beach lounge chair, and the discrete nature of the S100 made it a perfect tool to capture the world going by.
